In 2019, I needed brain surgery, which unfortunately led to a cerebellar stroke, long-term facial palsy and the need for a pioneering facial reanimation surgery at 26. Despite the hardships I faced and on-going adaptions I've needed to make - with a visual impairment and visible difference - I've always known that the ability to adapt to life's challenges and 'bounce back' from struggles is a crucial skill we all need in order to cope with stress and reduce anxiety and depression. This is because having resilience helps us find genuine moments of enjoyment despite being faced with situations that don't always go according to plan.
After looking back and establishing what it was that allowed me to turn this crisis into such a beautiful advantage, I wanted to formulate this course to share that knowledge with others. Inside this course are the six key areas I believe were required in order to allow me to personally adapt to the challenges I faced. It also includes downloadable materials and step-by-step practices to support ongoing development.
I've designed this course to enable you to understand how the brain works in order to change limiting thought patterns and rewire your mindset, so that you feel more able to cope with the challenges you face. Inside it, you can gain an in-dept look at the formation of habits, actionable methods you can use to replace destructive ones and how to cultivate positive replacements instead. Also covered is an understanding of the importance of a growth mindset and how to develop a positive outlook towards challenges, as well as learn the skills needed to build lasting resilience.
